Kayla's Pre Wedding Shoot

I had the opportunity to fly to San Diego for Kayla's wedding. She is so gorgeous inside and out and I loved working with her on this shoot! I was lucky enough to travel with Terra Cooper of Magnifique Photography and we had way too much fun! The trip was full of delicious food, running around like crazy, a beautiful wedding, oh yeah and a breathtaking photoshoot at the beach. When we flew in we rushed from the airport to Oceanside to meet with gorgeous Kayla and to get her ready in time for the photoshoot. It was a race against time (and the sun setting). I was able to get her ready in under an hour with the help of Terra's mad blow drying skills! I really wanted to capture her natural beauty along with the beach feel. We kept her makeup simple, highlighting her eyes and giving her a sun touched glow. I wanted to give her hair some added texture along with a fun fishtail braid. I wanted her to look wind swept, but elegant. Terra had purchased a wedding dress for only $10 and it fit Kayla perfectly! So what better way to have fun in the ocean than in this wedding dress! Thank goodness for water proof makeup! Terra is such an amazing photographer, in case you were wondering! She was out in the waves giggling and jumping trying to keep her camera dry. She will do just about anything to get an amazing shot! And that she did! Photos by Magnifique Photography Enjoy these breathtaking photos!

Creating Different Looks Through Hair and Makeup Artistry

This is a great blog post written by the amazing Terra Cooper of Magnifique Photography. It has great advice for brides and anyone getting photos done! Click HERE to check it out.

It is amazing what a difference professional photography and professional hair and makeup application can make to your photos. Especially if you have a theme or a specific look that you are going for.

These photos are of the same models, and the photos were taken less than a week apart. The left side photos were taken for the Country Chic photoshoot, and the photos on the right were taken during the Roaring 20's photoshoot. Heather, the model in first photo, later told me that her friends and family didn't even recognize her when she was done up as a 20's vixen!
